#19 – Tássia Reis

Tássia Reis é cantora e compositora. Nascida e criada em Jacareí, interior de São Paulo, fala de sua trajetória artística que envolveu dança e faculdade de moda até se encontrar na música onde, brincando de rimar com as amigas, Tássia viu a possibilidade de transformar seus versos de poesia em canção. A partir do seu primeiro single “Meu Rap Jazz” ter viralizado na internet, sentiu que as pessoas se identificavam com o que ela tinha a dizer, e isso a fez observar a demanda por artistas negras, a necessidade das pessoas de se enxergarem no outro como forma de inspiração. Atualmente Tássia vê nessa rede de artistas negros uma potência coletiva no falar para mais pessoas.

Tássia Reis is a singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Jacareí, in the countryside of São Paulo, she talks about her artistic journey, which involved dancing and attending college for Fashion Design until she found herself in music where, by playing at rhyming with her friends, Tássia saw the possibility of transforming her verses from poetry to song. Since her first single, Meu Rap Jazz, spread on the internet she felt that people identified with what she had to say, and this made her notice the demand for black artists and the need for people to see each other as inspiration. Currently, Tássia sees in this network of black artists a collective power for reaching more people.
